Poitou-Charente is an area of both traditions and quality. It consists of four regions (Charente, Charente Maritime, Vienne and Deux-Sèvres) which offer a fantastic range of specialities.

Among them, for example the butter of Poitou-Charente, goat's milk cheese, the cheesy oil cake, oysters and ocean fish, delicatessen, local wines from Charente and Haut Poitou, Pineau, Cognac (French brandy).
