A horse is a marvelous means to discover, know, and appreciate the Camargue intimately without disturbing the fauna. The Saintes Maries village is the usual departure point (information: association du tourisme des Saintes Maries), with horses adapted for riders at all levels, including beginners. You can choose between several tours. |
| Itinerary 1/ Duration: between one and three hours . From the
Saintes Maries, the horse riders pass by the Imperial lake, reach the Malagroy
lake by the beaches and then arrives in the Rièges Wood.
Itinerary 2/ Duration: one day. Take the direction of the Domaine de Méjanes, riding by the Vaccarès lake. In addition to the discovery of the Camargue fauna and flora, one can observe the bulls at Méjanes all year long, and in the meadows during the spring. Itinerary 3/ Duration: one day. Once you have gone through Petit-Phare en Radeau, take the direction of Domaine du Grand Radeau. There you will find pine forests, bulls and... the beach. |
