Built by the naturalist Buffon, this pretty architectural ensemble is an example if XVIIIth century industrial organization. The main furnace, with its showy staircase, is one of the most attractive elements. There is an exposition on Buffon, master of the forges, and on the iron industry in northen Burgundy.

This XVIth and XVIIth century château belonged to the famous comte de Bussy, cousin of Madame de Sévigné. He was exiled here by Louis XIV, and he decorated the Château with pictures ornamented with galant epigrams.

Collections from the XIVth, XVth, and XVIth centuries. At the Wine Museum, rare items trace the history of wine and wine-making from antiquity. Exhibits include the ancient cuverie of the Dukes of Burgundy (old presses), and tapestries of Aubusson by Jean Lurçat and Michel Tourlière.

VIth century B.C. treasure from Vix: decorated bronze vase, 1.64 meters in height and 1,100 liters in volume, gold torque, jewellery, and funeral furniture discovered in the tomb of a prince. Very important Gallo-Roman collection. Pre-Roman church of Saint Vorles of the XIth century, with Lombard decorations - remarkable sepulcre - Saint Bernard chapel. Source of the Douix. This sumptuous château of the XVIth and XVIIth centuries belonged to the family of Admiral de Coligny during the wars of religion. Famous, notably, for its tromp-l'oeil gallery and for the frescoes in the Ligue tower. It has a remarkable canal and park.

A fine example of XIIth and XIIIth century military architecture, this fortress was constructed by the powerful lords of the Duchy or Burgundy. A large Gothic chapel was erected in the XVth century by Claude de Montaigu, Chevalier de la Toison d'Or and Chambellan du Duc de Bourgogne.
