A tie, an essential part
of masculine elegance, is a man's most common, as well as
his most personalized accessory.
However, a necktie is much more than a mere accessory: it is also one way a man expresses himself, a fashion affirming the wearer's individuality.
Ties were first worn by Croatian horsemen during the Thirty Years' War, and then they conquered the courts of Europe.
After that time, ties were constantly transformed and beautified, taking on their definitive forms (the four-in-hand and the bow tie) at the start of this century.
In many professional situations, a tie is the only fancy touch a man is allowed to indulge himself.
Neckties are a source of endless astonishement due to their forms, the many ways of knotting them, and their colors, motifs and materials.
How and why should a man wear a necktie?
